london roofscapes 2

formerly grand buildings still stand in londons east core. now the peaks of some are still beautiful, but age and decay are showing down below. at street level, neglect, age, and lifestyle are all having an effect.

i find them amazing, they're absolutely huge! they're magnificient when you come into an area dotted by a widfarm. this one is about 30 minutes from home and has about 40 turbines. you don't get a feeling of how large they are until the kids stood at the bottom.

"sunrise". a plastic toy cup one of my kids owns. in the bottom are 3 led lights. cropped but untouched.

the "little big man" picture. gem took this picture of me, messed it up, said i was just a big kid. we found a caterpillar on a tree stump that day, brought it home to a terrarium. Caterpillar to cocoon to moth in about a month. the kids thought it was fantastic.
one of the first pictures i took that i really liked. 3.1mp Kodak DC4800, circa 2001.

dragonfly

matthew, my youngest son asked for some very specific things from mexico. mexican water, iguana bones, a skeleton, lizard skin, some rocks and some bugs, he's 7. so this dragonfly flew back on a jet, 3500km just to have its photo taken. thanks matty! this is the original, untouched photo.

children of mexico

this 1 1/2 yr old had the coolest little hand shake goin on with his dad

this little girl asked me if i would bring her back a print of her picture next year.

these are some of the children of oaxaca, mexico. smiles are the order of the day. it's a place where people still stop and talk on their way down the street. the crowd in the back is looking at copies of photos we took last january when we where here.

bike rack

in a land filled with sandals, the shoe shine guy appears to make a hefty income. any jokes are yours for the making (plumbers union poster boy?).

modern mexico

one of mexicos marvels, modern wiring! but if you look around, cell phones are more popular then land lines, wifi more then dial up. in one way they're lucky, they've skipped a lot of the wired tech we've come from. and all the costs that went with it.

copalita

this is bocana copalita. a point where river meets ocean. at pacific low tide the river runs to the sea, high tide the ocean flows in. all different species of birds come here to fish, horses come to play and cool off in the river. truly a marvelous place to spend time.
this is one of the first panaramic pictures i did. kind of rough.
